Parade of Lights 2022

The Parade of Lights is a spectacular display of bright, sparkling multicolored floats representing the various businesses, organizations, barangays, and schools that comprise this rapidly growing tourist destination. This year, Barangay Toda represents their tricycle.

Tanauan City is known as the “City of Colors.”

One of Ex-Mayor Halili’s major goals for Tanauan City is to become “The City of Colors,” as he stated during his inaugural speech. It aspires to transform the city into a rainbow of vibrant colors through collaboration between the private and public sectors.

The installation of brightly colored light posts, as well as the construction of covered walkways along A. Mabini Avenue and President Laurel Highway were already underway and completed. Simultaneously, the business community pledged to repaint their respective sections in support of Ex-Mayor Halili’s vision.

The Light Parade Has Begun

The Parade of Lights was organized by former Tanauan City Rotary president and honored city ex-mayor Tony Halili in collaboration with the Sports Development Council, which was led by former Tanauan City Rotary Club District Governor Tato Dimayuga.

The first Parade of Lights took place on March 8, 2014, the city’s 442nd founding anniversary and 13th year as a city. The celebration included a variety of activities, culminating in a spectacular evening float procession and street dancing, as well as participation from the city’s numerous schools, locators, businesses, and non-governmental organizations.
