Tanay Rizal – Gem in south

Daranak Falls and Mt. Daraitan come to mind when one thinks about Tanay, Rizal. However, Tanay is more than only its well-known mountains and waterfalls. Additionally, it has quaint cafes, eateries, campgrounds with ridgetop views, and distinctive resorts where you can unwind and get back in touch with nature. You won’t believe how beautiful some of these locations are considering how close they are to the Metro Manila.

1 Palpitate Coffee

Sip on a delicious cup of coffee at Palpitate Coffee while marveling over the expansive greenery of Rizal! A must-try match is their own Palpitate Latte with Special Blend, which is ideal for this summer season. This cafe, which is most well-known for its quaint and cool viewing deck, is a hidden gem worth telling your closest friends and family about!

2 Treasure Mountain

Start your journey to Tanay early in the morning to catch a glimpse of Treasure Mountain’s renowned sea of clouds. This campground with a view of the Sierra Madre mountain range doesn’t need any trekking, making it ideal for a laid-back family day excursion. But you may alternatively spend the night in a tent to camp out under the stars and wake up to the sun rising amid a blanket of clouds if you prefer to take in the view and the clean mountain air. How enticing is that?

3 El Patio Razon

At El Patio Razon, enjoy all that nature has to offer. This wilderness resort is renowned for its Hot Kawa Bath, which is surrounded by vibrant flowers and has a view of the mountains. It’s the ideal method to unwind and cleanse your body of all toxins and negativity, which is something we could all use right now. The resort is especially well-known for its Hobbit House, which was modeled after the Hobbiton in New Zealand and can be rented out for overnight stays. The best thing is that you may unwind your body and mind without having to spend much money because admission is merely Php50!

4 Regina Rica

The Regina RICA (Regina Rosarii Institute for Contemplation in Asia) is a relatively new and well-maintained pilgrimage site that’s an ideal destination for a quick Holy Week ride from the metro. The surrounding nature is simply amazing. If you’re yearning for a contemplative retreat, Regina Rica is definitely the place to go. The 71-foot tall statue of Our Lady of Regina Rica is actually the highlight of the site. It’s a gigantic effigy of the Blessed Virgin Mary holding the child Jesus. Jose Barcena Jr. designed and sculpted the sacred masterpiece. You can also notice angels beautifully carved at the bottom of the Regina Rica statue.
