  /    /  #3: Banaue Rice Terraces

The Banaue rice terraces are one of the world’s eight wonders.

I’ve gotten this far without mentioning the 2000-year-old rice terraces carved into Mt. Ifugao. The Ifugao people, a group of native Filipinos, created and maintained these incredible terraces. It has been said that if all of the Ifugao terraces were stacked end to end, they would circle the moon twice. These magnificent terraces are also known as the world’s eighth wonder. When you visit, you will not only be able to see the terraces, but you will also be able to meet the people who built them.
